Monsoon Parliament Updates

INDIA bloc leaders call for a debate on the Pahalgam attack, Trump’s Operation Sindoor claims and allegations of electoral manipulation in Bihar. They also demand the Prime Minister’s presence to respond to their concerns.

Parliament passes the Bills of Lading Bill, 2025 to modernise shipping documentation by aligning with global standards. The legislation, introduced by Sarbananda Sonowal, will replace the 169-year-old Indian Bills of Lading Act. It will enable digital documentation, simplifying and streamlining processes.

A new ‘Health Menu’ will offer lawmakers, staff, and visitors healthy options for meals. The menu includes millet-based foods and fiber-rich salads to boost health and wellbeing. This is a move driven by INDIA Block leader Kiren Rijiju to support the government’s commitment to sustainable development and environmental preservation.
